DISH500+/1000+

DISH Network recently launched a new product to replace the popular "SuperDISH". This new antenna is called the DISH500+. With a few small changes, it doubles as yet another product called the DISH1000+.

The DISH500+ is being used to receive many of the poular international packages in which DISH Network has become widely known. It is also being used for a few of the new HD local markets. The DISH500+ has fewer line of sight areas than the SuperDISH. There are only a few markets in the southern tips of Florida, Louisiana, Texas and California that do not have line of sight.

Out of the box, the DISH500+ receives signal from the 110, 118.7 and 119 satellites. Most all of the core DISH Network programming is located on the 110 and 119 satellites. There are several international channels on the new 118.7 satellite. With the addition of a dual LNBF and DPP44 multiswitch, the DISH500+ is now a DISH1000+ and has the ability to receive signal from the 129 satellite. This is great for those subscribers who wish to receive international and HD programming. The new satellite also sports a smaller reflector size. All in all, the DISH500+ was a welcomed addition to the antenna line by DISH Network installers and subscribers alike.
